What Do You Seek In a Friend
Everyone needs a friend! We need friends because we were wired (created) to need them. It is God who gave us the need and the ability to be a friend.
Recently, I asked a small group of people what they looked for in a friend. Their responses were interesting and somewhat predictable because we are all looking for basically the same things: acceptance, loyalty, trust, non-judgmental, humor, etc. The list went on and you would probably find several traits that resonate with you.
Today, we celebrate you because you have incorporated these traits into your being, thus creating a character that is an attraction to those around you. As we celebrate you, we celebrate God, as it is His presence in you which inspires the great deeds you do. The Bible states “For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
Scripture also tells us that “we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works…” (Ephesians 2:9-10) So, you can’t help being what you are! You were made to do what you do. It’s just that you do it so well!
So please accept our sincere thanks for demonstrating God’s love in such a practical way. Today is a very small token of appreciation for the influence and impact you have had on someone associated with WindWorks Fellowship.
You are a Very Important Person! You are so important that Heaven gave its best – for you!
You are priceless!
